A few favorites
We visit Chautauqua in New York state. Very Norman Rockwell, 19th century place. I am a member of the CLSC (Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle).
Enjoy participating in programs such as the Cambridge University “ancient and classical” summer courses on “life in Athens” and “Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.” Here is a presentation about that program.
Taking “a year in classics” from St John’s College, starting with The Odyssey. All undergrads read the same “great books,” close to 200 in all. Philosophical Gourmet Report on graduate programs in philosophy.
We have thought about moving out of Texas, maybe build a house or buy one of the Lake Flato “porch” houses. Might consider an”agrihood” like Willsford, VA.
